Ultra-miniature eddy-current converter for small defects of deep occurrence search in the area of high-yield-stress steels weld joints

The presented study describes a diagram of an eddy-current measuring system built on the basis subminiature converter, intended for conducting materials’ study. article results testing designed defects search in 6XB2S steel samples, connected by weld joint. technology creating such materials permits significant impact resistance finished products and provides optimal combination hardness toughness. However, formed material near joint become serious problem operation materials. In this study, assessment possibility searching model hidden two plates was made. had different linear dimensions (0.3 - 0.9 mm) occurred at depths (1 2 mm). developed showed high efficiency scanning with up to mm. smaller required modernization introduction second converter. presents data confirming feasibility change using eddy current converters small occurring considerable depth.
